เครื่องเล่น Apple TV เป็นศูนย์กลางความบันเทิงภายในบ้าน ทำให้โทรทัศน์ (Widescreen TV) ของคุณสามารถดูหนัง ฟังเพลง รูปภาพ ผ่าน iTunes โดยเชื่อมต่อ Apple TV เข้ากับโทรทัศน์ผ่านสายเคเบิ้ล จากนั้นเชื่อมต่อ Apple TV เข้ากับคอมพิวเตอร์ผ่านเครือข่าย Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n โดยคอมพิวเตอร์จะเป็นเครื่อง MAC หรือ PC ก็ได้ แต่ต้องใช้ iTunes v7.1

The software is very simple to install and requires no technical knowledge. Screenshots of the install process are shown to the left.
